“In future, diseases will be better avoided and cured if we help the medical profession to better understand the occurrence of disease in each individual.”
Klaus-Michael Kühne
Medicine
Allergies and cardiovascular problems are widespread diseases that affect billions of people worldwide. Atopic dermatitis not only causes considerable discomfort for those affected but is also a significant risk factor for other diseases. For more than ten years, the Kühne Foundation has therefore been supporting a pioneering program for the research and treatment of allergies with a focus on neurodermatitis, which is based at the Medicine Campus Davos. In addition to running the Hochgebirgsklinik, it is also increasingly dedicated to research into heart disease. The aim is personalized medicine, in which the individual circumstances and requirements of each patient are addressed with increasing precision.
