Hamburg State Opera

The Kühne Foundation has supported the Hamburg State Opera for many years, most recently as the main sponsor of the Philharmonic State Orchestra. With a major donation spread over five years, it has made it possible, among other things, to extend the contract of General Music Director Kent Nagano. To mark the end of this long-term sponsorship, the Philharmonic State Orchestra held a special concert for Klaus-Michael Kühne in the Elbphilharmonie in September 2023.
