Hamburg State Opera

The Kühne Foundation has supported the Hamburg State Opera for many years. For example, as the main sponsor of the Philharmonic State Orchestra, it recently made it possible to extend the contract of General Music Director Kent Nagano with a major donation spread over five years. In 2025, the foundation sponsored the Hamburg Ballet's guest performance of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ at the Teatro La Fenice and is also planning to support an opera production at the Hamburg State Opera in the coming season.
