Climate Action

Climate Change is one of the greatest challenges of our time and the predicted consequences are serious: rising sea levels, shifting climate zones and extreme weather events disrupting lives, causing famine and driving large-scale migration. 
These impacts will be especially severe for people in low and middle-income countries, which have contributed the least to the causes of climate change. They will have to grapple with responding to a changing climate whilst also dealing with other development challenges. 
With its new focus on climate action, the Kühne Foundation will help decouple growth in prosperity from greenhouse gas emissions and accelerate the transition to a vibrant low carbon economy particularly in low- and middle income countries. 

Recognizing that logistics and global trade are still highly dependent on fossil fuels, the Kühne Foundation wants to work to ensure they become part of the solution for a CO2-neutral society.
