Tongji University
Tongji University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the People's Republic of China. It was founded by German doctors in 1907. Today, there are more than 4,200 lecturers and researchers in ten faculties at the university, teaching more than 35,000 students.
Since 2008, the Kühne Foundation has supported the Chair of International Logistics Networks and Services at Tongji University, Chinese-German University College (CDHK) under the direction of Prof. Dr. Sidong Zhang.
The Chinese-German University College (CDHK) was founded in 1998 and is a joint institution of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Tongji University. CDHK offers master's programmes in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering and economics. There are currently 21 endowed chairs and 483 Master's students at the CDHK, including 117 Germans from 27 German partner universities.
The Chair of the Kühne Foundation offers courses in Supply Chain Management and Operations Management, teaches more than 200 Chinese and foreign students, covering Bachelor's, Master's, MBA and Executive MBA programmes. The students come from well-known universities worldwide.
