HELP Logistics established the Supply Chain Preparedness Investment and Impact Measurement project with the Philippines Red Cross (PRC) to achieve more (lifesaving) with less (expenditure spending). A framework was agreed that focuses on five key impact areas: prepositioning, personnel, processes, supplier management and local actors.
Under the processes activity, a comprehensive revision of the Logistics Management System manuals was completed. The Chairman and CEO of PRC, Senator Richard J. Gordon, officially approved the new procedures.
The revision of the logistics manuals on procurement, warehouse, and fleet functions received support from Kuehne + Nagel, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and ROSEHALL management consultants.
PRC offices around the country will receive the manual with training throughout February 2021. The manuals mark a significant milestone in the optimisation and standardisation of emergency response operations.
