Medical Logistics in Pandemics Training for UNFPA

HELP partners with UNFPA to strengthen the capacity of logistics and health professionals through its online learning program ‘Medical Logistics in Pandemics’

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to put a strain on the humanitarian community and its supply chains, particularly in the health sector.

From the 9th to the 30th September, HELP Logistics delivered its Medical Logistics in Pandemics (MLP) Training to colleagues from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). 23 health and logistics staff from 21 different countries including Namibia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Kosovo, Cameroon, Yemen and Papua New Guinea attended this diverse program that consists of short videos, podcasts, recorded presentations, quizzes and instructor-led virtual classroom seminars.

Compared to regular classroom training, the MLP allows greater participation of frontline workers and national staff in remote locations, building capacity where it is needed the most. Through this program, HELP supports UNFPA to cope with the current challenges of COVID-19 and increase their emergency preparedness and resilience in the future.
