HELP Logistics launches COVID-19 logistics help desk

Remote technical assistance helps UNFPA manage bottlenecks and continue delivery throughout the pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to put strain on the humanitarian community and push supply chains to their limits, particularly in the health sector. For UNFPA, this presents a twofold challenge: (1) to ensure the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) to health care workers and essential staff while (2) mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on the distribution of other lifesaving supplies.

To support UNFPA manage the bottlenecks caused by COVID-19 and continue deliver throughout the pandemic, we launched a COVID-19 Logistics HELP Desk. The platform enables country offices of the organisation to request technical assistance on a variety of topics including forecasting, customs, storage, and remote management. A team of technical experts from HELP Logistics and our network of academic and commercial partners provides remote support and helps UNFPA solve their logistics needs.
